Pineapple Cilantro

5% Super Fat

Super Fat: to use a small excess of ‘free’ fatty acids in a recipe that are deliberately NOT converted to soap. Instead, these tiny oil molecules remain within the soap matrix and are then transferred to your skin when washing. This is not to say your skin will feel oily because there is such a minuscule percentage used.

For this soap, I used the Three-Color Mantra Swirl Technique and scented it with Pineapple Cilantro, choosing colors that evoke a pineapple’s appearance. I named it Pineapple Cilantro—of course, lol!

I used a 3-section divider to pour each color into its respective section. After removing the dividers, I swirled the batter with a chopstick, drawing figure eights from one end of the mold to the other. To showcase the design, the loaf is cut horizontally into 5 chunks, which are then turned on their sides and cut into 2 bars each.
