Because color is displayed differently on various devices, the soap you order could be different from what you’re viewing on your phone, laptop, or monitor. This is a common occurrence with online shopping; it has to do with display resolution, number of pixels and bit depth.
Guinness Stout Beer, Avocado Oil, Canola Oil (high Oleic), Coconut Oil, Palm Oil (ResponsiblySourced), Sodium Hydroxide (Lye none is left in the final product), Hemp Oil, Shea Butter, Castor Oil, Oatmeal Stout FO, Sodium Lactate (liquid salt), and Colorants (White/Yellow)
5% Super Fat
Super Fat: to use a small excess of ‘free’ fatty acids in a recipe that are deliberately NOT converted to soap. Instead, these tiny oil molecules remain within the soap matrix and are then transferred to your skin when washing. This is not to say your skin will feel oily because there is such a minuscule percentage used.
This fragrance smells positively edible! It’s a full-bodied and smooth beer fragrance blended with Creamy Oatmeal, Orange Peel, Butterscotch, Farm-fresh Milk, Nutty Almond, and Rich Vanilla
If you’re a fan of deep, rich beer, you’ll probably like this one. Wait a minute, I don’t actually like beer, but I do love this scent.
My design plan was to make the bars look like a mug of Guinness Stout. The dark part of the soap has no mica or oxide; it’s simply the deep brown color of the Guinness itself. I used Titanium Dioxide to lighten the soap batter and create the foam on top, then textured it with a spatula. During the last Farmer’s/Craft market, it was a hit with both men and women. Even those who chose other bars to buy couldn’t resist (lol, over and over) sniffing the Guinness Stout Beer soap—rightfully named!
The planning and execution were pretty straightforward. I mixed the lye solution into the oils, stick-blended until I reached a medium to thick trace, and poured the dark batter into the mold first, followed by the cream-colored
batter. After building up the foam part, the loaf was set aside to rest. Two days later came my favorite part of soap making: the reveal—cutting the loaf into bars.
