Abstract Bamboo

Because color is displayed differently on various devices, the soap you order could be different from what you’re viewing on your phone, laptop, or monitor. This is a common occurrence with online shopping; it has to do with display resolution, number of pixels and bit depth.

Ingredients:

Buttermilk, Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Lard, Sodium Hydroxide (Lye, none is left in the final product), Canola Oil (high Oleic), Bamboo FO, Sodium Lactate (liquid salt), Cain Sugar, Silk (Cruelty-Free), & Mikas

5% Super Fat

Super Fat: to use a small excess of ‘free’ fatty acids in a recipe that are deliberately NOT converted to soap. Instead, these tiny oil molecules remain within the soap matrix and are then transferred to your skin when washing. This is not to say that your skin will feel oily because only a minuscule percentage is used.

Fresh Bamboo Fragrance Oil: We fell in love with this fragrance at first sniff. The clean scent reminds us of crisp jungle leaves in a damp rainforest. Imagine the smell of wild Bamboo stalks, crisp Aloe and Jasmine Petals with base notes of Vetiver and soft musk mixed together in a refreshing blend.

For this design, I used a 2-section loaf mold, dedicating most of it to the green soap batter. In the smaller section, I poured lines of tan, dark brown, and white along the length of the mold. Once the divider was removed, I used a chopstick to swirl the three colors into the green just a bit, ensuring the multi-colored section didn’t swirl too far into the green.

The soap is scented with Bamboo fragrance oil. Simply naming it “Bamboo” felt too straightforward, so I brainstormed ways to make the name more unique and reflective of the design.

Abstract art doesn’t aim to represent an accurate depiction of reality but instead uses shapes, colors, forms, and gestural marks to achieve its effect. Inspired by this concept, the name “Abstract Bamboo” was born.
