Because color is displayed differently on various devices, the soap you order could be different from what you’re viewing on your phone, laptop, or monitor. This is a common occurrence with online shopping; it has to do with display resolution, number of pixels and bit depth.
EVOO, Goat Milk, Palm Oil (Responsibly Sourced), Lard, Coconut Oil, Sodium Hydroxide (none remains in the final product), Castor Oil, Cinnamon Pinecone FO, Raw Sugar (boosts lather), EDTA (Chelator to help with hard water), Silk (Cruelty-Free), & Colorants
5% Super Fat
Super Fat: to use a small excess of ‘free’ fatty acids in a recipe that are deliberately NOT converted to soap. Instead, these tiny oil molecules remain within the soap matrix and are then transferred to your skin when washing. This is not to say that your skin will feel oily because only a minuscule percentage is used.
The warm aroma of cinnamon bark intertwines with the aromatic tonalities of fresh pine notes. Resinous cedarwood and the fresh, clearing nuances of fragrant juniper berries blend together
I aimed for a bumpy pinecone look for this soap, inspired by the pine trees we planted around the perimeter of our land decades ago. Now very tall, with pinecones and needles creating a natural boundary around our home, these trees inspired me to choose the scent of Cinnamon Pinecone.
The technique I used is called a drop swirl: pouring the base and then dropping soap batter into it. I wanted the dropped mixture to penetrate just the middle of the soap, and I achieved this goal. I chose earthy colors to match the design and name. I mounded the remaining drop mixture batter along the center, hoping to create the appearance of a pinecone lying on its side. As the trace thickened by the end of my design process, it created a nice bumpy texture that added to the pinecone effect I aimed for. Rightfully named “Cinnamon Pinecone,” this soap smells wonderful.
