These soaps are still in their early stages, and as they cure, the colors may deepen as the liquid components (such as distilled water, goat milk, cucumber juice, or other liquids) evaporate from the bars. The grainy texture will also smooth out over time. Updated photos will be shared after the six to eight-week curing process.
Because color is displayed differently on various devices, the soap you order could be different from what you’re viewing on your phone, laptop, or monitor. This is a common occurrence with online shopping; it has to do with display resolution, number of pixels and bit depth.

3% Super Fat
Super Fat: to use a small excess of ‘free’ fatty acids in a recipe that are deliberately NOT converted to soap. Instead, these tiny oil molecules remain within the soap matrix and are then transferred to your skin when washing. This is not to say that your skin will feel oily because only a minuscule percentage is used.
Just like breathing in cool ocean air.
This was an interesting challenge because it pushed me out of my comfort zone. I had never tried mixing a single color, pouring it, and letting it set up before preparing a fresh lye solution and oils for a separate layer.
In the video, you can see me blending the lye and oils for the first pour, which would become the mountain. After about 10 minutes, the brown layer had firmed up enough to shape into the mountain, and the flat ‘tabletop’ effect was a happy accident. I hadn’t even thought to round the top because I was so focused on preparing the second soap batter.
Once the ‘mountain’ layer was firm enough, I didn’t have to worry about the bluish-green and cream-colored batter mixing with the brown.
My goal was to create an underwater tectonic mountain surrounded by greenish-blue water and cream-colored waves. However, since the mountain turned out flat, it

ended up transforming into a land mountain with mist (the cream color) around it. Next time, I’ll use titanium dioxide to create a brighter white mist instead of cream, as the cream didn’t stand out as much as I’d hoped.
