Because color is displayed differently on various devices, the soap you order could be different from what you’re viewing on your phone, laptop, or monitor. This is a common occurrence with online shopping; it has to do with display resolution, number of pixels and bit depth.
Ingredients:
Olive Oil, Goat Milk, Coconut Oil, Palm OIl (Responsibly Sourced), Castor Oil, Sodium Hydroxide (none remains in the final product), Blackberry & Magnolia FO, Silk (Cruelty-Free), & Micas
5% Super Fat
Super Fat: to use a small excess of ‘free’ fatty acids in a recipe that are deliberately NOT converted to soap. Instead, these tiny oil molecules remain within the soap matrix and are then transferred to your skin when washing. This is not to say that your skin will feel oily because only a minuscule percentage is used.

This soap was designed to celebrate the 4th of July. I got creative by combining the Slanted Layered technique and the Drop Swirl technique to achieve the look of the USA flag waving in the wind.
For the fragrance, I chose Blackberry & Magnolia, which perfectly fits the theme: Sweetbay magnolia blooms between June and September, and blackberries are ripe for picking from late June to early July here in Oklahoma.
The base colors for my soap were light blue for the sky with a bit of white to represent clouds. I tilted the mold and poured the base first. Next, I dropped the red, white, and blue into the base, mingling and swirling those three colors. My hubby and I really loved the way it turned out, and I’ll be taking advantage of how these two techniques worked together in other designs in the future.
I named this soap “Old Glory Waves.” What was the most difficult task in this project? Well, waiting to unmold and cut them into bars, of course 😊.
