Because color is displayed differently on various devices, the soap you order could be different from what you’re viewing on your phone, laptop, or monitor. This is a common occurrence with online shopping; it has to do with display resolution, number of pixels and bit depth.

Ingredients:

Coconut Oil, Coconut Milk, Pacific Ocean Sea Salt (small grain), Sodium Hydroxide (none remains in the final product), Pink Grapefruit & Citrus FO, Canola Oil (High Oleic), Castor Oil, & Mica

90% CO with a 20% Super Fat. 32% Salt Content

Super Fat: to use a small excess of ‘free’ fatty acids in a recipe that are deliberately NOT converted to soap. Instead, these tiny oil molecules remain within the soap matrix and are then transferred to your skin when washing. This is not to say your skin will feel oily because there is such a minuscule percentage used.

Fragrance info/description from vendor: Amazon

Pink Grapefruit & Citrus FO has a fresh, unique fragrance. It’s a pleasant combination of pink grapefruit and citrus!

Scented with Pink Grapefruit & Citrus, this Pacific sea salt bar takes me back to childhood treats—sprinkling a little sugar on a half-cut grapefruit for that perfect balance of tart and sweet.

I used the drop swirl technique to create this soap. First, I poured the uncolored, naturally white soap batter into a mold tilted on its side. Then, I dropped the pink batter into the white. Once I placed the mold flat, the pink settled deeper on one side, creating a soft, gradient effect. I finished it off by swirling the colors with a hanger tool.

Salt bars set up extremely fast. After successfully adding a little extra water to my previous salt bar (Ocean Breeze), I did the same here. This trick allowed me to achieve a swirl—something not usually possible with salt bars. It was ready to unmold within 3–4 hours! That was a relief because the hardest part for me is always waiting to unmold, cut, and reveal how the science and creativity of soapmaking come together into a usable piece of art.

These bars will cure for several months—much longer than the standard 4–6 weeks for regular soap. The extended cure time significantly enhances the lather, making for a luxurious experience.

sailor’s soap? Unlike most soaps, it lathers in salt water, thanks to its high lauric fatty acid content. Well, I fibbed—babassu oil works just as well, but at about three times the price. Due to cost? I’ll stick with coconut oil, thank you.

The name Salty Grapefruit comes from the Pacific sea salt and the bright, citrusy fragrance that makes this bar a refreshing, ocean-inspired treat.

Of all my bars of Michele’s it took me time to try it because I’d never used a salt bar!
I liked the effect to my skin, the deep cleansing feel and the fresh scent did remind me of the lovey pink grapefruit citrus treat.
The look of the bar matches the scent, Salty Grapefruit was a happy discovery.
